Frogs In a Pond LP

Surprise Chef built "Frogs In a Pond" the hard way: nine straight days tracking live to an eight-track machine in their own Melbourne studio, with Leon Michels of El Michels Affair brought in on flute. This fifth album, the band's first for Concord Jazz, runs on the cinematic grooves this four-piece draws from 1960s and '70s Italian giallo scores on this record, the same sound that carried them to Reeperbahn, Pickathon, and even a Pepsi ad.
