Frogs in a Pond CD

Giallo scores haunt this one, Surprise Chef chasing an imagined 1970s Italian thriller soundtrack. The Melbourne instrumental four-piece built "Frogs In a Pond," their fifth album and first for Concord Jazz, by cutting live over nine days on an eight-track machine at their own studio, with Leon Michels of El Michels Affair sitting in on flute. Festival dates at Reeperbahn and Pickathon and a stray placement in a Pepsi ad have carried this band further than most instrumental groups get.
