Memory Lane LP

Memory Lane was recorded in 1980 by Soul Media, the Japanese jazz rock and fusion group led by saxophonist Jiro Inagaki, released on Nippon Columbia as the group's final record under that name. Inagaki said they were aiming to anticipate where fusion was headed rather than just play it straight, moving between mellow, stormy, and groove-heavy passages, and this reissue on colored vinyl is a solid deep cut for anyone digging into obscure Japanese fusion.
