Saosin - (self-titled) LP

Saosin formed in Orange County, California in 2003, and a devoted post-hardcore following already existed before this self-titled album, built off an earlier EP fronted by Anthony Green, who left to front Circa Survive. By the time the record landed on Capitol Records in 2006, Cove Reber was holding the mic, and Howard Benson, the producer behind My Chemical Romance, had pushed the sound toward something more melodic and emo-leaning. The RIAA eventually certified it gold, and Alternative Press still keeps returning to "Voices" and "You're Not Alone" as among the genre's defining tracks.
