Numbskull LP

Ryan Hemsworth's been the guy other artists call when a song needs fixing, producing for Tinashe, Tory Lanez, and Mitski while running his own Secret Songs label on the side, and that ear for pop structure shows up all over Numbskull, his first solo record since 2018's Elsewhere. This one leans harder into guitars than anything he's done, with a guest list that reads like he raided two different scenes at once: Tegan and Sara show up on "Never Learned," and members of MSPAINT and Illuminati Hotties turn up elsewhere. The Halifax kid who won a Juno for Guilt Trips back in 2013 is still the same tinkerer, just with a pedalboard now instead of a laptop.
