Cut With the Cake Knife LP

These songs sat like a tape left running in an empty room, recorded by Rose McDowall in 1988 and 1989 with the aid of several musicians across several studios, after Strawberry Switchblade broke up, meant originally for a follow-up that never happened. Bad Fairy Productions finally released Cut With the Cake Knife in 2004, and Sacred Bones and Night School reissued a remastered edition in 2015. The material trades her old band's pop shine for neo-folk and post-industrial grain, drawn from songs written for that scrapped second Strawberry Switchblade record.
