Reel 2 Reel 4 Real LP

Ray Wylie Hubbard wrote Up Against the Wall, Redneck Mother, a song more people know from Jerry Jeff Walker's 1973 version than his own, which about sums up a career spent slightly outside the spotlight since the 1970s. He got sober in 1987 with help from Stevie Ray Vaughan and still picked up Songwriter of the Year at the 2018 Austin Music Awards. Reel 2 Reel 4 Real, out August 21, 2026, is his latest.
