RKS CD

Rainbow Kitten Surprise put out RKS, their 2015 sophomore album, through Split Rail, a student-run label at Appalachian State University's Hayes School of Music. The band started two years earlier in a dorm room there, formed by Darrick "Bozzy" Keller and Ela Melo, and built a name through sets at Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits before their real breakthrough. That came later with How to: Friend, Love, Freefall and its single "Fever Pitch," which cracked Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.
