Queens of the Stone Age - Alive in the Catacombs LP

Alive in the Catacombs puts Queens of the Stone Age playing an acoustic set inside the actual Catacombs of Paris, said to be the first time any band got permission to perform there. Every song was cut live in one take, no overdubs, with the band working chains and chopsticks into the percussion alongside a three-piece string section. Director Thomas Rames and photographer Andreas Neumann shot and recorded it in July 2024 for Matador, and it earned strong notices, including a 5/5 from Spill Magazine, on the strength of exactly that stripped-down setup.
