POiSON GiRL FRiENDS

Noriko Sekiguchi, working as nOrikO under the name Poison Girl Friend, pressed whispery vocals against post-punk and UK club-music textures she picked up living in London, then put the whole thing out herself on her own label, Psycho Planet Communications, calling it POiSON GiRL FRiENDS. She went on to work with Momus and got folded into the Shibuya-kei scene, but this one stayed buried, out of print for years. Japanese majors finally started putting her old catalog online, and the vinyl reissues followed, so a record that nearly vanished is back on shelves.
