Panda Bear's "Buoys" marks a vibrant chapter in his creative journey, expertly blending his signature melodic style with the fresh influence of contemporary production techniques. Co-produced in Lisbon with frequent collaborator Rusty Santos, the album embodies a spacious, dub-inspired sound, where meticulous vocal phrasing intertwines with textured layers and deep sub-bass. As a sixth solo effort from this Animal Collective member, it distinctly echoes his evolution while offering familiar textures that return listeners to the heart of his expansive sonic universe.
