expectations (feat. Chappell Roan) 7"

Expectations first showed up on Olivia Rodrigo's third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, and this version adds a guest verse from Chappell Roan, her first new music of the year. Both artists have talked about leaning into a queer dynamic in the lyrics for the pairing, and the track climbed into the upper reaches of the UK singles chart on the strength of both fan bases. It follows Rodrigo's run with SOUR and GUTS.
