Moon Orchids' self-titled album follows the group's Skin/Skein EP, continuing a folk-rock project Jacob Simons and Bailey Miller started in 2021, since joined by vocalist and trumpeter Morgan Keltie plus contributors Mark Andrew Morris and Isaac Bagley. The songs alternate acoustic guitar-and-mandolin folk with looser, Crazy Horse-style rock excursions on Positively 4th Street Records.
