Young Team LP

Mogwai's 1997 debut found the band walking into a studio in Hamilton, Scotland with barely a handful of finished songs and letting Young Team take shape live, closing the thing out with the sixteen-minute "Mogwai Fear Satan." Chemikal Underground put it out to reviews that ran almost uniformly positive, Arab Strap's Aidan Moffat turns up singing on "R U Still in 2 It," and the UK eventually certified it Silver. Scottish post-rock still points back to this one.
