This is the 2014 debut that started it all for Men I Trust, years before the streaming numbers caught up to them. Jessy Caron and Dragos Chiriac, friends since high school who'd reconnected at Université Laval, made it before Emmanuelle Proulx joined two years later to round out the now-familiar trio; the dream-pop and electropop blueprint here is the same one the band has run self-released ever since, straight through Oncle Jazz and the paired Equus Asinus and Equus Caballus. No label touched any of it, then or now.
