BRIT School trained, opened for Arlo Parks and Beabadoobee, and got a song into a video game before most people knew her name, Matilda Mann has the resume of someone further along than a second album usually allows. Kismet follows her debut Roxwell with the same wry, direct folk-pop, closer to Laura Marling and Big Thief than to anything trend-chasing. Promising is the word critics keep using; let's see if she outgrows it.
