Jolly Live LP

This record, known on most international pressings as Jolly Jive, came out on Kitty Records in the late 1970s, right in the middle of Takanaka's busiest run of fusion albums built around his melodic, effects-heavy guitar sound. Like the rest of his catalog from that stretch, it blends jazz fusion with funk and breezy, hi-fi arrangements, the same combination that later made him a touchstone for city pop collectors outside Japan.
