Captain America (1966 Theme) 7"

This Hollywood Records reissue presses the Captain America theme from 1966's The Marvel Super Heroes onto translucent blue 7" vinyl, letting light pass through the disc itself. Produced by Steve Krantz and Grantray-Lawrence Animation, the syndicated cartoon reused Marvel's own comic panels to cut costs, but composer Jack Urbont's theme songs held up far better than the animation, outlasting the show in memory. A thin slice of 1966 TV history on colored plastic.
