Days of Unrest CD

Margo Price, the Nashville songwriter known as much for prison-reform and farmworker advocacy as for her Grammy-nominated Hard Headed Woman, cut this one with producer Matt Ross-Spang across Nashville, Memphis, and San Francisco. It's a protest record, reworking Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, and Blaze Foley material next to her own writing, with Joan Baez and Billy Swan sitting in. A portion of direct-to-consumer vinyl proceeds goes to the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project. Solid pickup for the politically minded.
