Marc Almond teamed with the synth duo Starcluster for 'Silver City,' landing somewhere critics kept comparing to his old band Soft Cell, same taste for secret lives and illicit encounters, just updated for the social-media age instead of the back alleys. The record first surfaced on vinyl in Germany back in 2016, and this expanded pressing throws in a batch of remixes plus two songs that never made it out before, 'Futuristic Weimar Berlin' and 'Dancing Through the Fire.' Emil Schult, the artist who worked with Kraftwerk, did the cover, which tells you exactly what lineage this record thinks it belongs to.
