I Wrote You A Letter LP

Stripping the polish off on purpose, Anthony Gonzalez chases something rougher on his tenth album as M83, closer to the bedroom tapes that started the project than to the widescreen sound of 2023's Fantasy. Producer Benoît de Villeneuve, whose history with M83 stretches back to the early Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, came back to push it that direction, and the cover comes from Jean-Philippe Talaga, the Goom founder who's drawn the band's artwork from the beginning. Gonzalez calls it more spontaneous, more punk, and it hits like a record made in a hurry.
