Visión del Ayahuasca LP

Los Wembler's de Iquitos have been playing cumbia and chicha out of the Peruvian Amazon since the late 1960s, which matters here because Visión del Ayahuasca isn't some young band's homage to that sound, it's the actual source still working it. Ten tracks on Barbes Records, from "Lamento Selvatico" to "Todo Es Mentira," built on that same hypnotic, guitar driven groove they helped invent.
