I Let It in and It Took Everything 2LP

Loathe's second album stacks fourteen tracks of downtuned, djent-leaning metalcore against shoegaze haze, with frontman Kadeem France switching between a clean croon and a harsh bark that's drawn comparisons to Deftones' Chino Moreno. SharpTone put it out in 2020, and critics lined up behind it fast, with Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, and Revolver all naming it to their year-end lists while Loudwire crowned it the best metal album of that year. The British five-piece built something that bruises and drifts in the same breath.
