Happiness Anytime CD

Leon Bridges built his name on Coming Home, a Fort Worth-bred retro-soul debut that earned him Sam Cooke and Otis Redding comparisons, and he's since collected Grammy nominations for that record and for Good Thing plus a win for "Bet Ain't Worth the Hand." Happiness Anytime, his fifth album, hands the boards to Jungle's J Lloyd-Watson and Lydia Kitto, a production pairing that explains the shift on lead single "Light the Way": his classic soul phrasing still anchors it, but the backing track leans toward the dance floor in a way his earlier records didn't.
