In 1993, Kurt Wagner renamed a Nashville band called Posterchild as Lambchop, then spent three decades running it through Merge Records at home and City Slang across the water without once handing over the wheel. Punching the Clown adds twelve more tracks to that pile, from "Just West of Nicollet" to "No Chicago."
