Infest the Rats' Nest LP

By album fifteen, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard had built a catalog defined by constant genre-hopping, which makes Infest the Rats' Nest worth noting for the opposite reason: it commits fully to thrash metal, no detours. "Planet B" and "Mars for the Rich" go after climate collapse and the wealthy fleeing its wreckage with a speed and aggression the band hadn't shown before, and that focus is exactly why it works as a way in for metal listeners who'd otherwise skip a jam band's back catalog entirely.
