Modified Eurorack synths click and stutter through Alien Metal like a machine relearning how to walk, built from a week of studio sessions ahead of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard's 2025 rave-circuit tour dates. Drummer Michael Cavanagh credits bandmate Joey Walker's solo project Bullant with teaching the group electronic production, evident in the techno, breakbeat and jungle turns here, extending the modular work the band leaned on live since 2023's The Silver Cord. True to Nonagon Infinity, the tracks run continuously, the closer looping back into the opener.
