Leftoverture LP

Kerry Livgren wrote "Carry On Wayward Son" while Steve Walsh sat stalled on writer's block, and that one opener turned Leftoverture into Kansas's commercial breakthrough, a top-five Billboard record and the band's first platinum plaque. The classic lineup, Walsh, Livgren, Robby Steinhardt, Rich Williams, Dave Hope, and Phil Ehart, cut it for Kirshner with producer Jeff Glixman, and "Carry On Wayward Son" became a classic-rock radio staple.
