Before Stick Season turned him into a festival headliner, Noah Kahan made this one alone with his own doubts, recorded with producers Joel Little and Mark Rankin right after his Cape Elizabeth EP. Think of it as a diary he forgot to hide, catching him fighting the version of himself he was leaving behind. Godlight, Animal, and Someone Like You, the last with Joy Oladokun, carry that fight, and Atwood Magazine called it an unapologetically honest statement that doesn't flinch from his mental health struggles.
