Museums and Women LP

Josh Rouse, producer Brad Jones, and drummer Fred Eltringham cut these songs live in quick morning sessions, then went back in the afternoon to add overdubs, the same process Jones used on Rouse's acclaimed 1972. Museums and Women is Rouse's label debut for New West, and he named it after a John Updike book he'd admired for years. The songs stay hopeful and romantic, built on drifters, dreamers, and the wry observational humor that runs through his warm, roots-leaning catalog.
