Black Mozart LP

Black Mozart appears to be Jon Batiste's jazz and gospel-inflected reworking of Mozart material, released on Decca in the vein of his 2025 Beethoven Blues project, which reinterpreted classical repertoire through a Black American musical lens. Track titles like Alla Turc Movement, a nod to Mozart's Turkish March, and Gospel Andante support that reading, though the exact concept behind this release isn't confirmed. Batiste has spent his career bridging jazz, gospel, and classical training.
