The Voice That Is! LP

Johnny Hartman's baritone carries eleven standards on The Voice That Is!, a 1964 Impulse! record cut the year after his session with John Coltrane, the only album where Coltrane ever recorded alongside a vocalist. The same warm, unhurried delivery that made that record a classic runs from These Foolish Things through Waltz for Debby here. This pressing joins the Verve Acoustic Sounds Series.
