(self-titled) LP

Jade Bird rolled out "Lottery" and the breakout "Uh Huh" ahead of her self-titled debut, which climbed to No. 2 on the UK Independent Albums chart, basically announcing herself before anyone had the full record in hand. She wrote the whole thing and produced most of it herself alongside Simone Felice and David Baron, pairing confessional, nothing-held-back lyrics with a sound that swings between punk snarl and pop hook like she can't decide which one she trusts more. The Guardian called it "edgy, unsparing Americana."
