Hungry Ghosts played instrumental post-rock out of Melbourne, drawing comparisons to Dirty Three and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Rowland S. Howard of the Birthday Party produced their 1999 debut LP, and this 2LP sets it beside the self-titled EP the band put out two years earlier, both pressed to vinyl for the first time.
