Talk / Overthinker 7"

Hudson Stone is the Los Angeles-raised actor and singer who plays Desi in Disney Channel's Camp Rock 3 revival and just signed to Hollywood Records. Drawing on Dominic Fike, John Mayer and Leon Bridges, plus his own Australian and Korean heritage, he introduced himself with "Overthinker," co-written with Brian Phillips and Toni Ferrari and built on vintage guitar tones and soulful storytelling vocals. Writers and producers credited on Ariana Grande and Niall Horan helped shape the follow-up single, "Talk," as he works toward a debut album. Verdict: a Disney credit backed by genuine songwriting ambition.
