Colored Sands 2LP

Luc Lemay brought back Gorguts for Colored Sands, their first album since 2001, backed by a new lineup of Kevin Hufnagel, Colin Marston, and John Longstreth. It's a concept record about Tibet, running through the instrumental "The Battle of Chamdo" into songs on resistance and survival, and both Pitchfork and Exclaim! called it a high point for technical death metal.
