Pugnello LP

Gilla Band, the Dublin noise outfit that used to go by Girl Band, made Pugnello sound like somebody dropped a guitar amp down a stairwell and recorded the whole descent. It's their fourth album for Rough Trade, singer Dara Kiely working anxiety and mental health through his usual dark jokes while the band piles distortion on top. Reviewers are calling it their most intense record yet, and the pearl horizon vinyl pressing matches the chaos with a genuinely disorienting finish.
