Ooh Rap I Ya LP

Years of on-and-off studio work finally produced Ooh Rap I Ya, George Clanton's third album, after he'd already shed an old alias called Mirror Kisses and built the label 100% Electronica with his wife and collaborator Neggy Gemmy. The record stacks chillwave, trip hop, neo-psychedelia and hypnagogic pop into one package; Negative Gemini co-wrote "F.U.M.L.," and Neggy Gemmy and Hatchie each turn up as guests on separate tracks. Anthony Fantano gave it an 8 out of 10 on The Needle Drop, about as close as that show gets to a compliment.
