Soundtrack LP

Fallen Angels broke off from Chungking Express when the material got too dark for that film, and Christopher Doyle's wide-angle night photography still runs like static caught in neon. Leon Lai, Michele Reis, and Takeshi Kaneshiro carry Wong Kar-wai's 1995 Hong Kong feature, which won Best Cinematography and Best Original Score at the Hong Kong Film Awards. The soundtrack favors trip hop and pop cues over dialogue to set mood, and this Universal Music Japan pressing puts that score on colored vinyl.
