Alex Ewell, Emma Maatman, Nathan O'Dell, and Joe Trainor make up Dummy, the Los Angeles band behind Mandatory Enjoyment, first released in 2021 on Trouble in Mind Records and built from guitar pop fused with drone and Krautrock leaning production. PopMatters called it their Best Krautpop Album of the Year while Paste went with Drone Pop Perfection. Polyvinyl's cassette reissue carries all twelve tracks, Protostar through Atonal Poem.
