1966 LP

Officially called In the Beginning: 1966 Sessions, this Rhino release digs up the Doors' earliest studio recordings, cut right as Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore signed with Elektra in August 1966, a full year before their self-titled debut. It's the sound of a band still finding its footing while playing clubs along the Sunset Strip, the London Fog and the Whisky a Go Go among them. This Record Store Day exclusive puts those formative sessions on colored vinyl.
