Friend World LP

Friend World is the second album from Do Nothing, the Nottingham post-punk band that formed back in 2012 when its members were still in secondary school. It follows their debut Snake Sideways and was recorded at the band's hometown studio JT Soar with producer Louis Milburn of Folly Group. The whole thing trades the debut's abrasive guitars for something sparser, lead single "Stars" built on a vintage Roland drum machine that ticks like a metronome counting down a bad mood, while the rest works through loneliness, introspection and self-destruction.
