Destin Conrad first got noticed on Vine, of all places, before Kehlani pointed him toward R&B, and his 2025 debut Love on Digital picked up a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album. Whimsy! follows with eighteen tracks, bringing in trumpeter Keyon Harrold, saxophonist Terrace Martin, and vocalists Ambre, Jean Deaux, and Vanisha Gould, pressed on emerald and gold vinyl. It favors live, jazz-inflected playing over studio polish.
