Sonder LP

Sonder is Dermot Kennedy's second album, sitting between his 2019 debut Without Fear and 2024's I've Told the Trees Everything, with much of it written and worked out in New York rather than back home in Ireland. It went to number one on the Irish, Scottish and UK charts and picked up gold certification in the UK and Canada. The title borrows the term for realizing every stranger you pass is carrying a life as complicated as your own, and the songs move between heartache and something close to hope, no matter which city shaped them.
