Deeper's second album pushes the angular post-punk of their Chicago debut through denser synths and tighter arrangements, drummer Shiraz Bhatti holding the frame steady underneath. Paste singled out the "buoyant synths" and "stickier riffs" and noted the record traps a kind of despair that's hard to name outright. Fire Talk Records put it out first; a later deluxe edition packs in additional material for anyone who wants more.
