America 12"

Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels helped build hip-hop's foundation in Hollis, Queens, co-founding Run-DMC with Joseph 'Run' Simmons and Jam Master Jay. Their 1984 debut became the first hip-hop album certified Gold, King of Rock went Platinum the next year, and Raising Hell turned into the genre's first multi-platinum record; the group was the first rap act with videos on MTV and entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. McDaniels still puts out solo work through his own DMC Records, and 'America' lands here on red, white, and blue vinyl.
