Fun LP

Fun is Daniel Johnston's only major-label album, recorded in 1994 for Atlantic after his release from treatment at Austin State Hospital, with Butthole Surfers guitarist Paul Leary producing. Leary's production gives Johnston's raw, lo-fi songwriting a fuller, more polished sound than his cassette-only records, without losing the vulnerability behind songs like "Life in Vain."
