Happy Hollow is Cursive's fifth album, a concept record about a fictional small town named for a real Omaha neighborhood, where the piety on the surface doesn't match what's underneath. It was the first Cursive record made without longtime cellist Gretta Cohn, replaced by a five-piece horn arrangement from Nate Walcott and produced by frontman Tim Kasher with Mike Mogis for Saddle Creek; it closes on 'Hymns for the Heathen' and drew strong reviews. This 20th anniversary edition expands it to three LPs with demos and B-sides, not the album's first trip to vinyl.
