David Tibet has steered Current 93 since founding it in London in 1982, dragging it from blunt industrial noise toward the sound he had to invent a name for: apocalyptic folk. Lucifer Over London, first issued in 1994, catches that pivot mid-turn, Tibet's half-spoken, half-sung delivery drifting over drones that never quite resolve. This picture disc revives one of the project's tighter, more contained entries in a catalog not exactly known for restraint.
