Zuckerzeit LP

Zuckerzeit came out in 1974 on Brain Records, co-produced by Michael Rother of Neu! and Harmonia, and it's the record where Cluster ditched the long, drifting kosmische jams of their earlier work for tighter pieces built on drum machines and synthesizers. Nearly every track was written solo, either by Hans-Joachim Roedelius or Dieter Moebius, recorded on separate days rather than together in a room. Pitchfork later slotted it among the best albums of the whole decade.
